IND vs ENG: Eoin Morgan Believes Jos Buttler Will Bounce Back From Heavy Defeat Against India

Eoin Morgan, a former England white-ball skipper, has supported Jos Buttler to make a strong remark to the team’s locker room following their 10-wicket loss to India on Tuesday, July 12 at The Oval.
After Morgan declared his retirement from international cricket, the wicket-keeper batter was given the captaincy responsibilities.
Eoin Morgan remarked on Sky Sports that he was in a similar scenario to this when he first assumed the captaincy.
“I am familiar with how it seems. It is not nice since you are looking inward rather than forth. Jos, though, will see this as an excuse to send a very clear and powerful word about what they’re headed and what they are doing in that changing room because of his prior experience both playing and leading.”
“People will be flinching and looking for an escape in that changing room, but it is the time to lead.”
‘You can give the best possible message to changing room’: Eoin Morgan
The former captain of England Eoin Morgan, who guided his country to victory at the 2019 World Cup, emphasized the value of conveying a concise message. Buttler has experienced England’s first-ever home 10-wicket ODI loss and a 2-1 loss in the T20I series after accepting the captaincy permanently.
“Even the most effective message will not be effective if the recipient is not paying attention. However, I can assure you that everyone in the locker room pays attention when you lose. In situations like this, it is vital for your leader to provide a clear message and for your senior players to model it,” Eoin Morgan added.
The second ODI of the series will be played on July 14 (Wednesday) at The Lord’s in London.
