After winning the first ODI by 10 wickets Team India led by Rohit Sharma is fully charged up face England at Lord’s in the second ODI on July 14. India won the first ODI by 10 wickets to come back to winning ways after winning the T20I series 2-1. The Indian team is keen on keeping their juggernaut on against England.

Jasprit Bumrah took 6/19 as he joined an elite list of Indian bowlers who took six wickets for India in ODIs. He became the third bowler to take a six-wicket haul against England in ODIs after Ashish Nehra and Kuldeep Yadav. It was a complete performance from India while for England a reality check on their “Bazball” style of play that has not worked on the white-ball series so far.

Virat has a groin strain during the last game. It can’t be confirmed whether it happened during fielding or while batting. He will probably miss the first ODI tomorrow at Oval as the groin needs rest,” a BCCI source told PTI on condition of anonymity.

With the rest of the players fit and fine the team is raring to go for an ODI series win after the Test match loss at Edgbaston. They would ideally play the same XI in case Kohli is not fit in time to play the second ODI.

Jos Buttler said that the first ODI loss was a hard pill to swallow. England have been playing an attacking brand of cricket in recent times and for one they have been found out. Four batsmen were dismissed for ducks as India won the match then and there. Buttler the skipper top-scored with 30 but there was hardly any contribution from the other batsmen. Heading into the second ODI, it will be interesting to see if they make any changes to their playing XI and their playing approach.
