Ireland have an uphill task as they gear up to face India in the second T20I in Dublin on Tuesday, May 28. They have already lost the first T20I and now will have to play for pride in the second and final game. The Irish side has lost all four T20I games they played against India.
Ireland skipper Andrew Balbirnie spoke about the Indian team having some of the best T20 players in the world and the IPL experience that the squad has. He also spoke about the Irish players willing to make a mark.

It’s a huge occasion for us. They have such a number of experienced players in T20 format. They have a squad in England for the Test match and then there’s a squad that’s coming down to Ireland to play us in T20s. They are all looking to impress” Balbirnie said TOI ahead of the first T20I. In this article, we take a look at Ireland’s best possible playing XI for the second T20I.
IND vs IRE: Ireland’s Predicted Playing XI Against India, 2nd T20I
Paul Stirling

Stirling is Ireland’s most experienced batsman. He was dismissed for just four in the first T20I. The veteran of over 100 T20Is would like to make an impact in the second T20I.
Andrew Balbirnie

The skipper was out for a duck in the first T20I. He too will have a point to prove in the second T20I. Balbirnie has played 67 T20Is for Ireland. The skipper will need to step up in the second T20I.
Stephen Doheny

Conor Olphert made his debut in the first T20I. Doheny might make his debut in this game. These two young players were added to the Irish squad for the series against India. Doheny is a top-order batter and the leading run-getter in the Inter-Provincial T20 Trophy competition with 158 runs at an average of 52.67.
Harry Tector

Tector top-scored for Ireland in the first T20I scoring an unbeaten 64. His form is key if his team are to win the second T20I. His innings even impressed the Indian skipper Hardik Pandya who spoke about him getting an IPL contract soon.
Lorcan Tucker

Tucker scored 18 runs in the first T20I but added a crucial 50-run stand with Harry Tector. He will need to chip in again with a substantial contribution.
George Dockrell

Dockrell will bat at number six. The left-arm spinner has played 93 T20Is now for Ireland and is one of the most experienced players in the side.
Mark Adair

Adair has now played 40 T20Is for Ireland picking up 38 wickets. In the first T20I against India, he bowled two overs for 14 runs.
Andy McBrine

McBride was taken to the cleaners by the Indian spinners, especially Hardik Pandya. He went for 21 runs from just one over that changed the game in India’s favour. The offie has again the tough task of bowling to Pandya and co.
Craig Young

Young was Ireland’s best bowler against India in the first T20I. He took two wickets and gave just 18 runs from his two overs.
Joshua Little

Little went for 39 runs in just over two overs in the first T20I. He has to make a good comeback in the second T20I. He has already played 35 T20Is for Ireland at just 22.
