IRE vs INR: Revealed - Why Ruturaj Gaikwad Isn't Included In India's Playing XI Today vs Ireland

Indian opener Ruturaj Gaikwad will not be taking the field in the second and final T20I against Ireland. The right-hander had also missed out on batting in the first T20I.
He fielded during Ireland’s first innings but wasn’t part of the run chase and Deepak Hooda was promoted up the order. Hardik Pandya has now revealed that Gaikwad has a niggle and will sit out, with Sanju Samson replacing him at the top.

“We want to bat first. The wicket looks alright and the weather looks awesome and sunny as well. When we bowled first we expected the wicket to do much more than it did.”
“But credit to the boys to keep them down to that total by realizing which balls to bowl. We have three changes: Ruturaj misses out because of a niggle, Sanju comes in. Harshal comes in place of Avesh and Bishnoi comes in for Chahal,” Hardik said at the toss.

Avesh Khan and Yuzvendra Chahal have been rested keeping in mind their workload with Harshal Patel and Ravi Bishnoi taking the respective spots.
