Indian Cricket Team is all due to clash against New Zealand on 25th November (Friday) in the 1st ODI. The Black Caps would be eager to make a point after losing T20I Series against India. Surprisingly, in the T20I Series, the management didn’t include Sanju Samson in the playing 11.

New Zealand would be hoping that the skipper Kane Williamson finds his rhythm back in the ODI Series. In the absence of Trent Boult & Martin Guptill, the team looks a bit fragile. The Black Caps would be well aware of the fact that they cannot take India lightly even if the squad is a second-string one.

Aakash Chopra on Sanju Samson

Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his YouTube channel and made interesting comments on Sanju Samson. “Rishabh Pant is the vice-captain but where will he play if he plays? He should play, he is the vice-captain. Shreyas Iyer – whatever he might not do in T20s, whatever issues he might have against bouncers, the guy’s numbers in ODIs are extremely good. His first ODI century also came in New Zealand at Hamilton. So, he will play,” said Aakash Chopra

“You see Shubman Gill opening alongside Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant doesn’t open in this team. He plays at a different number. He was not playing in the last series. (Poori Shrinkhla mein out he nahi huey they. Aisa lagta hai apun hi bhagwan hai – aise waali batting). Sanju was playing there and did an amazing job. In fact, he didn’t get out in the entire series. His numbers are phenomenal, so Sanju should play.” he added.

Critical Series for New Zealand

The Black Caps will have to bring their ‘A’ game as the Indian Cricket Team can’t be taken lightly. The likes of Shreyas Iyer & Suryakumar Yadav can take the team to a mammoth total. The pitches in New Zealand most likely would be batting-friendly as we can expect scores in excess of 300 runs.
