The NZ vs IND second T20I will be played in Mout Maunganui on November 20. The first game was washed out due to persistent rain in Wellington. Due to wet weather conditions, the game had to be ultimately called off just before the cut-off time. The series is now down to two games and both teams will be trying to give their best in these games.

Both the boards have named the respective T20I and ODI squads. Hardik Pandya will lead India in the NZ vs IND T20I series. The Indian squad is without the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah as all are rested from the series. Rohit, Kohli, and Rahul recently played in the T20 World Cup.

New Zealand are also without the likes of Trent Boult and Martin Guptill. Fin Allen and Glenn Phillips are part of the T20I squad are the management is looking to back young players. Among the bowlers, Adam Milne and Blair Tickner have been backed instead of Trent Bout whose central contract with the board is over.

After the T20I series, both teams play a three-match ODI series. The first NZ vs IND ODI will be played on November 25 in Auckland. The second and third will be played on November 27 and 30 in Hamilton and Christchurch respectively.

India last played in New Zealand in 2020. The Men in Blue won the T20I series 5-0. However, the Kiwis came back to win the ODI (3-0) and Test (2-0) series. They last played a series against New Zealand in 2021. The series was played in November with India winning the three-match T20I series 3-0. New Zealand also played a Test series later that they lost 1-0.

After Wellington, there is a rain threat in Mount Maunganui as well. Heavy afternoon showers are predicted along with a strong breeze blowing as well. The temperature in the afternoon will be around 20 degrees which drops down to 14 degrees by the evening.

The NZ vs IND 2nd T20I starts at 7.30 pm local time (12 pm IST). It will be cloudy along with the continuous rain predicted. There is over 70 percent chance of rain around 5 to 6mm.

So far 12 T20I matches have been played at this venue with nine games won by the team batting first. This proves that this is not a chasing ground with batting becoming difficult under lights and the ball moving prodigiously.
