Chennai Super Kings is a team that has managed to win four IPL titles. They are one of the strongest and the most consistent teams in the history of IPL. Also, they are a team that doesn’t want to tinker too much with their playing XI. And, that is one of the reasons why they brought all their core players back into the team.

Chennai Super Kings would be pretty happy with their acquisitions at the Mega Auctions 2022. They have managed to buy their core players back into the team, such as Deepak Chahar, Dwayne Bravo, Ambati Rayudu, Robin Uthappa to name a few. Besides, they already had already retained the likes of Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Moeen Ali.

Chennai Super Kings certainly have a pretty strong playing 11 on paper. However, they have been dealt with a big blow as Deepak Chahar might not be available for the major chunk of the tournament due to an injury. CSK, though, still have a lot of match-winners who can dish out consistent performances throughout the tournament. On that note, we take a look at three CSK players who can win the Man of the Tournament award in IPL 2022.

Ravindra Jadeja’s graph as an all-rounder has skyrocketed in the last couple of years. He has made a massive improvement in his batting. In the last couple of years, Jadeja has played outstanding knocks with the bat both for the Indian team and CSK.

To utilize his services wisely, CSK might promote him in the batting order and the fans could see him play a lot more innings this year. Besides, with the ball, we all know what he can do. He could be the ‘X-Factor’ player for CSK this year.

  1. Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad was one of the biggest reasons behind CSK’s successful campaign in the last edition of the Indian Premier League. Gaikwad consistently dished out impressive starts at the top of the order and also ensured he converts them into big scores.

He was the highest run-scorer in the tournament last year. He played all 16 matches and managed to score 635 runs at an average of 45.35. CSK would be wanting him to replicate similar performances and, once again, top the run charts.

  1. Moeen Ali

Chennai Super Kings’ decision to promote Moeen Ali in the batting order in the last edition surprised one and all. It eventually proved out to be a masterstroke as he capitalized on the starts provided by the openers. Ali played brilliant knocks at the top of the order consistently at an excellent strike rate. He will once again likely bat at number three in the batting order.

The English cricketer scored 357 runs in 15 matches at a strike rate of close to 140. With the ball, he picked 16 wickets at an economy of under 7. Moeen Ali will share the spin bowling duties alongside Ravindra Jadeja. He is certainly a candidate to win the Man of the Tournament award ahead of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League.
