Chennai Super Kings (CSK) leg-spinner Maheesh Theekshana took his third wicket of the night when he dismissed Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) debutante batter, Suyash Prabhudessai, on Tuesday.
CSK set a target of 217 for the RCB team courtesy of twin fifties from Shivam Dube and Robin Uthappa. They stitched 165 runs for the third wicket, with the duo combining to score a whopping 17 sixes.
In response, Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell were dismissed cheaply, pretty much ending the game by the 7th over. However, Prabhudessai played an impressive knock of 34 before being castled by Theekshana.
The Sri Lankan leggie was the wrecker-in-chief and he continued to put Chennai ahead. Prabhudessai jumped down the track and swung blindly, only making contact with thin air. The ball crashed into the stump, ending the 60-run association between him and Shahbaz Ahmed.
