CSK vs SRH: Fans On Twitter Demand MS Dhoni To Return As Captain After CSK's 4th Consecutive Loss

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost their fourth consecutive game under new captain, Ravindra Jadeja, in the IPL 2022 season. Following the loss, fans on twitter began calling for MS Dhoni to return as the skipper of the side.

Prior to the start of the season, Dhoni handed over the captaincy reins to Jadeja. It was quite a surprising move but one that made sense considering Dhoni may not have a lot of cricket left in him.

However, the move to pass on the captaincy to Jadeja has been far from successful. CSK has gone on to lose all the four matches played so far, with most of them being one-sided to say the least.

The latest game against Sunrisers Hyderabad was an 8-wicket drubbing and one that sent CSK to the bottom of the points table. The defending champions have struggled with both batting and bowling, which has been the root cause for their losses.

The opening duo of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Robin Uthappa has been unsuccessful, with the former failing in all four games. As for the bowling, it has taken a hit with Deepak Chahar, their wicket-taker in the powerplay, absent for the matches due to injury.

Additionally, Jadeja as the captain hasn’t had nearly the same effect as Dhoni. This has provoked a strong reaction from the CSK fanbase, who want the 40-year-old Dhoni to be back at the helm.

The best course ahead for the CSK now:
1. Sack Jadeja from captaincy.
2. Make Dhoni the captain for the rest of this season.
3. Ask Dhoni to retire after this season so that the money thus freed could be used to buy 2 good foreign players.
