DC vs KKR: Delhi Capitals Fast Bowler Khaleel Ahmed Injured And Ruled Out Of Today's Match
Delhi Capitals (DC) pacer Khaleel Ahmed will not be taking part in DC’s game against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Thursday due to an injury, DC captain Rishabh Pant confirmed at the toss.
Khaleel pulled his hamstring during DC’s previous game against Rajasthan Royals (RR). He had figures of 1/47 in four overs in the game where Jos Buttler smashed his 3rd century of the IPL 2022 season.
Chetan Sakariya will be replacing Khaleel in the lineup. Notably, Mitchell Marsh is also back in the playing XI after he recovered from covid-19. He has played just one game this season and it was against RCB.
“We’re going to bowl first. The wicket looks on the drier side and dew might come in the latter half. Our strength has been backing each other. We have had hard times, but we stick together and move forward together.”
“Two changes: Khaleel and Sarfaraz are out, Marsh and Sakariya are in. Khaleel pulled his hamstring in the last game and Mitchell is coming out of Covid,” Pant said.
As for KKR, they brought back Aaron Finch and have given caps to Baba Indrajith and Harshit Rana. They are on a 4-match losing streak and the last time they met DC, KKR lost by 44 runs.
