This is the second game between the two sides this season with Delhi beating KKR earlier in the season.

Delhi Capitals lost their previous game against Rajasthan Royals. This was after they registered a thumping win over Punjab Kings in their previous game. Both DC and KKR have been inconsistent this season with nothing to choose between them.

Shaw has blown hot and cold in the season so far. However, Delhi Capitals will stick wit him at the top of the table and expect him to fire alongside David Warner. He has already scored 254 runs from the first seven games of the season.

With three fifties to his name this season so far, David Warner scored 219 runs from five matches. He has been consistent so far for Delhi but has lacked support from the other end. Warner scored a fifty in Delhi’s last game against KKR and the management would like him to replicate the feat.

Mandeep Singh / KS Bharat

Sarfaraz Khan has not done justice to the opportunities that has been given to him at the number three position. DC might go back to Mandeep Singh or can even give KS Bharat a chance in the next game.

Rishabh Pant

Pant was criticised for his antics in the last game and was also slapped a penalty. However, he needs to put that thought behind and come back and perform for his side in the next game. Pant has not scored consistently for Delhi Capitals so far in the season.

Lalit Yadav

The all-rounder has been a utility player for Delhi Capitals so far. He got out at the wrong time and the chaos further pushed Delhi towards defeat. He will retain his place at number five.

Axar Patel

Patel has been doing the job with the ball more than with the bat. He has been bowling decently well and has ben taking key wickets as well. The left-arm spinner will hold onto his number five spot.

Shardul Thakur

Thakur has played a few handy cameos with the bat. He and Axar Patel form a key combination for Delhi Capitals in the middle-order. The management will hope that Thakur contributes more with bat and ball.

Rovman Powell

Powell scored 36 off 15 against Rajasthan Royals and almost took Delhi home against the Royals. He misfired in the first few games but played a blinder in the last game. The management has been guilty of sending him way loer in the batting order.

Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav has been Delhi’s highest wicket-taker with 13 wickets from seven games so far. He took four wickets the lst time Delhi played KKR. He would like to replicate his performance against his former club. He will once again come up against the likes of Shreyas Iyer and Andre Russell.

Khaleel Ahmed

Khaleel Ahmed has taken 11 wickets from six games so far in the season. Apart from Kuldeep, he has been the other wicket-taker for Delhi Capitals. Khaleel also had a good match against KKR the last time both sides played.

There is no update on the fitness of the South African pacer yet. If he is fit, he will walk into the XI. However, if he is not still fit, the management will back te Fizz to continue.
