Kuldeep Yadav’s performance in his IPL 2022 comeback against the Mumbai Indians on Sunday thrilled former Indian batsman and cricket expert Mohammad Kaif.
]The 27-year-old racked up fantastic numbers of 3/18 in his maiden game for the Delhi Capitals, earning him the Man of the Match award.
Kuldeep Yadav, according to Mohammad Kaif, is someone who has to be looked after because his confidence lowers when he isn’t utilized regularly. Here’s what the 41-year-old had to say on ‘SK Straight Talk’:
“Kuldeep Yadav has a track record of winning matches. However, he is someone who must be well managed. He’s a little emotional, and if he doesn’t get the bowling or is dropped from the squad, he’ll be upset.”
Mohammad Kaif also mentioned how poorly Kuldeep was managed by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in recent seasons. He continued, ”
“He was told to sit at home and not even in the squad at KKR when Dinesh Karthik and Eoin Morgan were captains. Any match-winner feels the pressure when you act like this.”

On Sunday, Kuldeep Yadav starred for his new franchise Delhi Capitals in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 opener at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai against five-time champions Mumbai Indians.
Kuldeep Yadav had been dissatisfied warming the benches for Kolkata Knight Riders for the last two seasons, as he struggled to get into a team that included Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine. For KKR, he did not play a single match in 2021 and only 14 in 2020 and 2019.
Kuldeep, on the other hand, was given an opportunity as early as the opening game of the season after being purchased by Delhi for Rs 2 crore during the mega auction. And the wrist-spinner on the left arm made full use of it.
Kuldeep pulled up three wickets, including Rohit Sharma (41) and Kieron Pollard (3), to repay the Delhi franchise’s faith in him. Kuldeep was accurate with his lengths and bowled faster than usual, allowing only 18 runs in his 4-over performance.
