DC vs RR: "He Is A Big Match Performer" Sanjay Manjrekar Is Not Concerned About Rishabh Pant's Batting

Sanjay Manjrekar, a former Indian cricketer, has expressed his views on the Delhi Capitals’ performances in the IPL 2022 so far.
The cricketer-turned-commentator praised Rishabh Pant‘s performance and predicted that he would play a key part in the upcoming pressure games.
Pant has played well in IPL 2022, striking at 146.94 in six games and scoring 144 runs at a strike rate of 36. With the top of the order in such good form, the Capitals’ captain has played practically every game as a finisher. Pant, on the other hand, is still a game-changer at the plate.
Pant’s striking isn’t a problem for Manjrekar, who claims he’s never really been a regular contributor in the IPL. The 56-year-old believes the southpaw will perform in high-pressure situations. He stated,
“He didn’t get to bat in the most recent game, although he had previously scored 34 runs with a strike rate of 200. Pant’s performance in the last two IPL seasons shows that he does not score in every match.”
“In Test cricket, he is more effective than in the IPL. He is, nevertheless, a big-match player. Right now, the openers are on fire, but I expect Pant to shine in the upcoming pressure games because, as the saying goes, “class is permanent.”
David Warner and Prithvi Shaw have forged a formidable top order: Sanjay Manjrekar
Manjrekar was also addressed if the Delhi Capitals had a good chance of making the top four. They did, he acknowledged, and he went on to say that David Warner and Prithvi Shaw have established a strong top order. Sanjay Manjrekar stated, ”
“Without a doubt. When chasing a low score, one strategy is to play slowly because they are confident in their ability to win the game. The Capitals were pursuing a low-scoring Punjab Kings team. Both players are dangerous and free-spirited batters, as evidenced by the way they finished the match.”
Sanjay Manjrekar went on to say: “Prithvi Shaw, in particular, is on par with David Warner in terms of importance. Warner’s strike rate has been kept maintained by Shaw. As a result, it’s an exciting first pair. The middle-order is yet to ignite, but considering how well the top-order has performed, it is not required.”
On Friday in Mumbai, the Delhi Capitals will meet the Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium.
