Jos Buttler is Only The 2nd Player To Hit 3 IPL Centuries In One Season
Jos Buttler did not have a firey start to his innings. The ball was swinging early in the first innings so he took his time, but once he got settled he pick and chose his bowlers and dismissed them all over the park.
“The ball swung in the first over and it was a bit tricky. You need to soak up that pressure and come through it. Once you get through it, the confidence comes back and I got going. We have managed to build such good partnerships, Devdutt played well from the other end, and we decided to attack and put the pressure back on Delhi”, Buttler said about his innings and his partnership with Devdutt Paddikal at the top.
The openers added 155 for the first wicket which gave RR the perfect start.
Talking about Wankhede stadium he said, “Was a special knock, enjoyed it. I love this stadium, it was a fantastic atmosphere, my first IPL was here with the Mumbai Indians. I am enjoying the best form of my life, I need to continue with this form all the way through.”
On being asked about how things might change going ahead in the tournament, he said, “The wickets may change, there are going to be used wickets with only four grounds in the tournament. There wasn’t any dew tonight, the teams might favour batting first if the conditions are different. Everyone will need to adapt as the tournament goes on.”
Jos Buttler is currently the orange cap holder and he is a long distance ahead than the rest of the batters.
