The playing XI that Delhi fielded for their last two games looks the most balanced and compact for the side. The absence of Anrich Nortje continues to be a growing worry for the side. Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman has done a good job with the ball in his absence. One expects Delhi to play the same side against SRH that played against LSG barring any tactical or forced changes. In this article, we take a look at Delhi Capitals’ predicted playing XI against SRH for match 50 of IPL 2022.

Delhi Capitals vs SunRisers Hyderabad: DC Predicted Playing XI Against SRH, IPL 2022, Match 50 DC vs SRH

Prithvi Shaw

Shaw will continue to open the batting for Delhi Capitals despite his inconsistent form in the last few games. He has scored 259 runs in nine matches so far in the season and will get his opportunity at the top.

The southpaw has been enjoying his time with Delhi so far in the season. He has taken responsibility at the top and has formed a terrific partnership with Shaw. He has scored 264 runs from seven matches with three fifty-plus scores.

Mitchell Marsh

Marsh came out all guns blazing in the last couple of matches at the number three position. He scored a quickfire 37 off 20 balls before losing his wicket in the big run-chase. He was involved in a good 60-run stand with Rishabh Pant and his wicket became the turning point in the chase.

The Delhi Capitals skipper scored 44 himself in the big run chase against LSG. He has not scored enough with the bat this season to help his team win games of cricket. However, he has done a good job of rotating and using his bowlers well and will look to do the same.

Lalit Yadav

Yadav with his all-round abilities has been a good addition to the Delhi Capitals line-up. However, he could not contribute much with the bat and also bowled just one over against Delhi Capitals. He will get a longer rope in the playing XI.

Rovman Powell

The big West Indian played another crucial innings but could not quite take his side home against Lucknow Super Giants. He scored 35 off 21 balls but his heroics was not enough for the game. Powell will slot in at number six or seven depending upon the match situation.

Axar Patel

Patel scored an unbeaten 42 with the bat after bowling a spell of none for 25 with the ball. He ran out of partners as Delhi lost the game but not before he proved his batting skills once again.

Shardul Thakur

Thakur took 3 for 40 with the ball against LSG and scored just one with the bat. The problem with Delhi is that Axar and Shardul have not fired in unison consistently. This is what the management would be expecting them from the remaining games.

Kuldeep Yadav

The left-arm spinner is second on the Purple Cap list with 17 wickets. He has been the Man of the Match in all four games Delhi has won till now. The management would hope that he continues to play a key role in the remaining games.

Chetan Sakariya / Khaleel Ahmed

Sakariya has impressed one and all in a couple of games he has played for Delhi so far. Against Lucknow, he was a bit expensive though going for 44 runs from his spell. The management can look to bring in Khaleel Ahmed in his place. Khaleel has taken 11 wickets from six games for Delhi till now.

Mustafizur Rahman / Anrich Nortje

The Fizz has taken 8 wickets so far for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022. He will continue to play in the XI if Nortje is still not fit enough to play in the XI. If fit, Nortje comes back into the XI.
