GT vs SRH: I Fear We May Run Out Of Luck In The Knockout Games - Hardik Pandya After GT's Thrilling Last-Ball Win Over SRH

Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Hardik Pandya could not believe how his side managed to script another incredible run chase, this time against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Wednesday.
Chasing 196, GT was down and out needing 22 runs from the final over from Marco Jansen. However, Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan combined to smash 4 sixes and take their side over the line and to the top of the IPL 2022 points table.
“I keep joking in the dressing room that God is telling us ‘You guys are good, I’ll help you’. It’s happening so often that I fear we may run out of luck in the knockout games. We keep a very chilled atmosphere and everyone is stepping up.”

“We’re ensuring that the players are backed well. (On his bowling fitness) It’s just a conscious decision to manage my bowling, plan is to bowl whenever the team needs me. It’s a long tournament and I don’t want to get too excited early,” Hardik said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
“We’ve spoken about winning these situations” – Hardik Pandya
GT has constantly won from positions where nobody gave them a chance. Their bowling attack is quite strong but their batting order has been flimsy. Nevertheless, individual brilliance has saved them constantly, as seen against SRH.

“We’re quite practical, we’ve spoken about winning these situations and there is a lot of self-belief in the camp. It’s important to keep the calm in the dugout, a lot of credit goes to the support staff for how they’ve been handling the players,” he further added.
Notably, Umran Malik took all 5 wickets of GT that fell but his 5-wicket haul went in vain eventually. Jansen ended up conceding 63 runs in his 4-over quota, the most expensive figures in a run chase.
