IPL 2022: I'll Miss Everyone There – Faf du Plessis After His Departure From Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

Veteran South African batsman Faf du Plessis, after getting picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction, said that he will miss his former IPL team, Chennai Super Kings.
The middle-order batsman Faf du Plessis has been with Chennai Super Kings for a decade and he has been one of the most consistent performers for the team. In the Indian Premier League 2021, he was the second-highest run-getter in the tournament and he was just a few runs behind the tally of orange cap winner Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Faf du Plessis has played 100 IPL games and has scored 2936 runs at an average of 34.9 and strike rate of 131.1. He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for INR 7 crore in IPL 2022 auction and many believe he will be leading the team in the upcoming season of the marquee T20 league.
As one door closes the new one opens up – Faf du Plessis
In a heartfelt video message shared by Chennai Super Kings on their official Twitter handle. Du Plessis thanked the entire Chennai Super Kings management and said he has enjoyed his time at the franchise and has created a lot of memories.
He added that a new door has opened up for him and he is excited to see what the future holds for him. He elaborated:
“Good Morning everyone, I just wanted to do a quick video message to say thank you to Chennai, the fans the staff, the management and the players. For what has been a decade with one team, you create a lot of special memories and I think it’s really important for me to say thank you. I have enjoyed my time a lot, I’ll miss everyone there. But as one door closes the new one opens up and that comes with great opportunities and I am excited to see what the future holds. So from me and my family thank you very much.”
