Livingstone played his first full IPL season in 2022. He batted, bowled and fielded for the side and proved his worth as an overseas recruit. With four fifties to his name, the England all-rounder scored 437 runs including 34 sixes in the season, the second-highest after Jos Buttler’s 45. He also took a few crucial wickets as he was Punjab’s biggest asset of the season.

Kagiso Rabada

The South African pacer was his usual self in the IPL despite his team not doing so well. Rabada is one of the most experienced overseas pacer in the IPL with more than 90 wickets in the last four seasons including 2022. He ended the season with 23 scalps the third-highest this year. The franchise should not make the mistake of releading their good players early, something that they have done in the past.

Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan’s change of team from Delhi Capitals to Punjab Kings had no bearing with his performance. In his first season for the Kings, the southpaw scored 460 runs from 14 games with three fifties. Punjab spent 8 crores on Dhawan who did total justice to the amount he was given.
