Virat Kohli is having an under-par IPL season by his standards. 2022 is his worst after his maiden IPL season in 2008 in terms of runs scored. Kohli was also unlucky to get a few ducks this season and also facing bizarre modes of dismissals.

One such unfortunate dismissal was in the match against Mumbai Indians. He was batting on 48 off 36 balls when he was given LBW by umpire onfield Virender Sharma. The third umpire did not have enough evidence to overturn his decision as he saw the ball hitting the pads while missing the bat. On his return, a frustrated Kohi vented out his anger and his emotions were visible on the big screen as well.

3) Riyan Parag-Harshal Patel Spat

Kane Williamson endured one of his worst seasons in IPL 2022. He ended the season with 216 runs with just one fifty-plus score in the entire season. In SRH’s very first game against RR, he fell to a controversial decision. He was controversially given out by the third umpire in the second over of the innings after being caught by Devdutt Padikkal at slip off the bowling of Prasidh Krishna.

The replays showed that Williamson did not edge the ball in the first place and the ball also did not reach Padikkal on the full. However, the third umpire ruled it out to the surprise of many.

5) Marcus Stoinis’ Angry Reaction Against RCB

Chasing 182 to win, LSG needed 34 off 12 balls with Marcus Stoinis and Jason Holder at the crease. Stoinis’ Australian teammate was bowling the 19th over of the match. The very first ball of his over fell outside the tramline but was not given a wide. That brought out an angry reaction from Stoinis who was told by the umpire that he was moved around the wicket.

He was dismissed off the very next ball as LSG lost the match in the end. The moment when he was dismissed Stoinis was boiling with anger and stared at the umpire before leaving the crease.
