The former West Indies skipper has played for several franchises in the past with Sunrisers Hyderabad being his most recent one. He has a fair share of playing in the IPL and understanding the conditions as well.

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has even assigned him as a potential captaincy candidate for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022.

Jason Holder. He is an unassuming character, does not impose himself, he is absolutely perfect for a franchise like RCB. He will play all the matches, he knows how to run a team and he will never take the center stage,” said Chopra.

The southpaw played for Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals in the past. With teams looking out for attacking openers, Lewis might fit the bit for several franchises. He has proved his potential with the bat in T20 cricket both at the international and franchise level which might hold him in good stead in the auction.

Nicholas Pooran

Pooran has promised more than delivered in the IPL in the past. His stint with Punjab Kings in the IPL saw him play some extraordinary cricket coupled with some really bad outings. However, it is this enigma around him that might force the bidders to go big behind him.

Dwayne Bravo

Bravo is the all-time highest wicket-taker in T20 cricket. He has made his reputation as a veteran of his format. Ageing nearly 40, Bravo is still fit enough for one more stint in the IPL. He was almost synonymous with Chennai Super Kings from 2011 to 2021. Over the years he has delivered whenever MS Dhoni asked him to do so. He might fetch a few bucks purely on his calibre as a legend of this format.

Smith is another enterprising all-rounder from West Indies. He made his international debut earlier this year against Pakistan. So far in his limited international career, Smith has managed to grab the eyeballs. He might just turn out to be a surprise package for the franchise he plays for.
