The IPL 2022 season ended on Sunday with debutants Gujarat Titans lifting the trophy at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. They defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets and became just the 2nd team after Royals to win the trophy in their debut season.

1.25 Crore Cash Reward To Be Given By The BCCI
The IPL came to its justified end as after over two months of non-stop cricket, finally, a winner emerged. It was after 3 years that a full season of IPL was entirely held in India.
Last year the first half was conducted in India but the second half was played in the UAE. This time though, even with the addition of new teams the tournament was entirely held in India.
The league stage of the competition was confined to just Maharashtra with 4 Stadia hosting games. Wankhede Stadium and Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai hosted 20 and 15 games each. While the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and MCA Stadium in Pune also hosted 20 and 15 games respectively.
The playoffs though were played in Kolkata and Ahmedabad as both the cities got to host 2 games each.
After the tournament got over, on Monday, BCCI announced cash rewards for all the people involved in the successful completion of the league.
