CSK vs KKR has been one of the most followed rivalries in the IPL. Both teams kick off the IPL 2022 campaign by facing off against each other on Match 27 at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. Both teams have played 19 matches against each other with CSK winning 12 and KKR seven which included the IPL 2012 final.

CSK beat KKR in the IPL 2021 final to make it even. Both teams have done some really good work at the auction table picking up players who would suit their team combination. The teams are placed in two different groups. CSK are placed in group B alongside PBKS, RCB, SRH and GT. KKR, on the other hand, are placed in group A alongside MI, RR, DC and LSG. Andre Russell – 300 Runs In 11 Matches

Andre Russell has been KKR’s X-factor in the past. He has played many cameos for KKR in the past which have turned out to be matchwinning ones for his side. So far in 11 matches against CSK, Russell has scored 300 runs with four fifties to his name. He has a best of an unbeaten 88 against CSK.

Gautam Gambhir – 429 Runs In 16 Matches

The former KKR skipper shared a great rivalry with MS Dhoni in the IPL. It was under his captaincy that KKR won their two IPL titles and the first came in a final against CSK. Over the years, he has scored 429 runs against Chennai Super Kings. Having retired from the IPL, Gambhir has now joined Lucknow Supergiants as the team mentor for IPL 2022.

Robin Uthappa – 547 Runs In 20 Matches

Uthappa is KKR’s top-scorer against CSK with nearly 550 runs to his name. Uthappa was at his peak for KKR in the IPL. He scored 2439 runs in 86 matches for KKR which included 16 fifties as well. Uthappa won the Orange Cap in 2014 in KKR’s title-winning season having scored 660 runs in 15 matches. That was the first of his six seasons with KKR.
