IPL 2022: Deepak Hooda Names The IPL Franchise He Wants To Play For In Season 15

Indian all-rounder Deepak Hooda has registered himself in the IPL 2022 mega auction for a base price of 75 lakhs. He has played for several franchises in the IPL with Punjab Kings being the latest. Ahead of the auction, he is one of the top Indian all-rounders to watch out for in the mega auction. His big-hitting ability with the bat and handy off-spin bowling makes him a good utility cricketer for franchises.

Ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction, he spoke to Inda News and opened up on his favourite IPL franchise. That he is selected in the Indian ODI squad for the West Indies series might help him fetch a big price at the auction. He named Chennai Super Kings as his favourite franchise and hoped to play under MS Dhoni in IPL 2022.

“There is nothing like that. As of now, Deepak is not waiting for the auction on the 12th and 13th, he is just waiting for the 6th. There is no team as such, I just want to play. But my personal favorite team is the Chennai Super Kings. I am like a kid who wants to play under MS Dhoni.”

He further said that he is a big MS Dhoni fan and that he admires his leadership as well. Hooda also said that he had a few enlightening interactions with the CSK skipper in the IPL.

“I am MS Dhoni’s die-hard fan, I like his leadership as well. I have spoken to him many times. When I had come to the Indian team earlier as well, Dhoni bhai was also there. Then also I used to talk to him and after that, whenever we have met we have spoken.”

With several Indian players affected by the dreaded Covid virus, Deepak Hooda is likely to get his maiden ODI cap in the first ODI in Ahmedabad on February 06. He is yet to make his international debut for India. In the IPL, he has played 80 matches scoring785 runs and picking up nine wickets.
