IPL 2022: 'Excited To Play Under Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) Skipper KL Rahul'- New Recruit Karan Sharma

Lucknow Supergiants led by KL Rahul roped in young UP cricket Karan Sharma in the IPL 2022 mega auction. The youngster made his First-Class debut earlier this year. So far he has played three first-class matches, 15 List A games and 10 T20Is for his state. Sharma is looking forward to having a memorable IPL season and making a name for himself. Overall, the side is packed with a good mix of young and experienced players with proven IPL potential as well.
Talking to News 18 in an exclusive interview, Karan Sharma spoke about playing for LSG and playing under KL Rahul. The former Punjab Kings skipper was roped in by the Lucknow franchise after he parted ways with his previous franchise.

“Yes, there are lots of international stars in our team. But I’m most excited to play with our captain KL Rahul. His journey has been amazing, I love his approach towards the game,” Karan said.
The 23-year-old also led UP in the absence of Kuldeep Yadav in the initial stage of the Ranji Trophy. He scored a century in his third first-class match. The knock came against Maharashtra where he scored 116 runs in the fourth innings to guide Uttar Pradesh to a six-wicket win.
LSG play their first game against Gujarat Titans on March 28 at the Wankhede stadium. Both teams face off against each other on March 28 at the Wankhede stadium to get their respective campaigns started. The teams are led by two players who know each other very well Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul.
The season kicks off with CSK and KKR facing off in a rematch of the IPL 2021 final. The IPL 2022 season has 74 matches to be played across 65 days. The matches will be held across the four venues in Maharashtra. Wankhede and DY Patil Stadium will host 20 matches each while the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai and MCA Stadium in Pune will play hosts to 15 games each.
