Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra came in support of senior Indian and RCB player Virat Kohli amid batting woes in IPL 2022.
Kohli’s batting form has been the talking point in the IPL 2022, the former RCB skipper aggregates 216 runs in 12 innings at 19.64 and a strike rate of 111.34.
After winning the toss, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis elected to bat first in a much-needed win. On the very first ball of the innings, Kohli flicked Jagadeesha Suchith’s delivery to short midwicket, where Kane Williamson took an easy catch.

Just a matter of few games before Virat Kohli comes back strong as ever: Amit Mishra
Kohli recorded his sixth golden duck of his IPL career, his third in this season and second against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Mishra, who played with Kohli at the international level for India, said the former Indian skipper will repeat his resilience just like he did after 2014, where he struggled to play James Anderson in the Test series in England.
“Giving batting advice to Virat Kohli is like showing torch to the sun,” Mishra wrote on his official Twitter handle.
“Just a matter of few games before he comes back strong as ever. He did it after the 2014 England tour and he will do it again,” he further wrote.

Sunil Gavaskar against Virat Kohli taking a break from cricket
Many cricket pundits advised Kohli to take a break from the game in order to regain form. Former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar disagreed with the popular notion of resting Kohli.
“As long as the break doesn’t mean he is missing India matches. India matches should be the No. 1 priority. It’s as simple as that,” Gavaskar said on Star Sports.
“I think the thing is that if you don’t play, how do you get your form back? Sitting in the change room, it’s not going to get your form back. The more you play, the more chances you getting your form back.”
“You ask all over India, you want everybody in India who follows the game will say ‘we want the form for India’. Right? So you can’t take a break for an India game. You want Kohli to start scoring runs for India. All of us want that,” he added.
RCB defeated SRH by 67 runs to strengthen their case for qualifying in the IPL 2022 playoffs.
