However, LSG fell at the last hurdle when they clashed with RCB in the Eliminator match of the IPL 2022. The match was delayed a bit due to rain and wet outfield. KL Rahul won the toss and chose to bowl first. Mohsin Khan even got RCB captain Faf du Plessis out for a golden duck.

Rahul led from the front, making 79 runs and Deepak Hooda made 45 runs, but LSG left it a little too late for the last burst of big hits and fell 14 runs short in the end, getting eliminated from the IPL 2022, albeit a great outing in their maiden IPL tournament.

KL Rahul took to Twitter to send a message to management, fans and his teammates.

He posted: “Inspiration all around me. A special first season comes to an end. Not the way we wanted, but we gave it absolutely everything till the very end. Thank you to the LSG family.
