IPL 2022: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Predicted Playing XI For Their First Match Of The Season

Lucknow Super Giants bought 18 players during IPL auction 2022. Their most expensive player was Avesh Khan, whom the team bought for Rs. 10 crores during the auction. Jason Holder at Rs. 8.75 crores, Krunal Pandya at Rs. 8.25 crores, and Quinton De Kock at Rs. 6.75 crores were some of the other top buys of Lucknow Super Giants.

During the draft pick, Lucknow Super Giants picked KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, and Ravi Bishnoi in their squad. KL Rahul is also set to lead the team in IPL 2022. IPL 2022: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) Predicted Playing XI For Their First Match Of The Season

Quinton de Kock (WK)

Quinton de Kock will be the wicketkeeper and opener for the team. Lucknow Super Giants picked him for Rs. 6.75 crores during IPL auction 2022. The South African player has donned the role of the wicketkeeper and opener in IPL for Mumbai Indians quite successfully. Now, he will take up that role for his new team.

KL Rahul (C)

KL Rahul is the skipper of the team in IPL 2022 and will lead the team in the opening game. The right-handed batsman was picked by the franchise for Rs. 17 crores as a draft player. Last season, he was part of Punjab Kings and mustered 626 runs in 13 games at an average of 62.60. He finished as the third-highest run-getter in the tournament.

Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey will be the no.3 batsman for Lucknow Super Giants in the opening game of IPL 2022. The right-handed batsman has a lot of experience in Indian Premier League. In the last season, Pandey was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad. He smacked 292 runs in 8 games at an average of 48.66 and 2 fifties.

Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda might be another batsman for the team in the playing XI in the opening match. Hooda earned a deal of Rs. 5.75 crores for himself in the auction. He recently made his international debut too. The right-handed batsman played for Punjab Kings in IPL 2021. He scored 160 runs in 12 games with 1 half-century.
