Eoin Morgan led Kolkata Knight Riders to the finals of the IPL 2021 and almost pulled off a title win for them, but it might not be enough to retain his place in the next season. With the mega auctions coming up, Kolkata would be preferring to go for an Indian captain or even a youngster to groom for the future.
Morgan has not done justice to his position in the side as a batsman and that is one of the reasons behind the franchise not retaining him.
