During his interview with the Gujarat Titans, he stated, The ultimate goal of this season is to win as many games as possible for my team.
Shubman Gill, a batsman who has been on the sidelines for a long with Team India, will now hope to impress when he takes the field for Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
Is the Punjab man feeling the impact of expectations after being signed by the Gujarat Titans for a magnificent price of Rs 8 crore? “ We constantly hear that when a player is purchased for a large sum of money, he is under pressure to perform.
When you go out to bat, you don’t think you’ve been acquired or retained for such a large sum of money, so you have to perform for them. As a player, the pressure to perform will be present regardless of the stakes.
“My goal is to constantly assist my team in winning games. It makes no difference what the price is. You don’t put out your best effort based on the price you’ve been paid. “If someone loves and appreciates cricket, he or she will offer everything on the pitch, regardless of how much money has been given for him,” Gill remarked.
Shubman Gill feels thrilled to be joining a new team:
Is he one of the three players picked up by the Gujarat Titans before the IPL auction — the other two being skipper Hardik Pandya and leggie Rashid Khan — and does he regard himself as part of the team’s leadership group? “I’m looking forward to starting over with a new team.
“As someone who was one of three players selected by the Gujarat Titans before the auction, I have a special obligation to perform well for them, and I enjoy taking on new challenges. In our team, we have a lot of fascinating guys”
“At the very least, we’d like to make the playoffs. Because I’ve been in quarantine, I haven’t had any contact with Hardik or Ashu Bhai (coach Ashish Nehra), but as soon as we get out, we’ll have our plans set, and I’ll have a lot more clarity on my job,” he said
The Gujarat Titans and the Lucknow Supergiants will kick off their season on March 28 at 7.30 p.m. at the MCA stadium in Pune.
