Want to do something special for Shane Warne – Sanju Samson
After the victory in Qualifier 2, Buttler and Samson were chatting about how the team Rajasthan Royals want to win the championship for the legendary leg-spinner, Warne.
“How do you feel, obviously incredibly sad this year. One of the first Royals Shane Warne is not going to be here, but his legacy lives on in the Royals, doesn’t it?,” Buttler said in a video posted on the IPL website.
“I think the tournament right from the start has been for him. I think we need to take one more step for him, I think it is really special. I do not want to talk much about it, but we are just one step closer. Want to do something special for him,” Samson replied to Buttler.
Jos Buttler played a sensational knock in Qualifier 2 and finished things off in style by smashing a brilliant six. He scored 106* runs off 60 balls, including 10 fours and 6 sixes.
While talking about his animated celebration after smashing his 4th century of the IPL 2022, Buttler said that he could not control his excitement while looking at the stadium filled with a huge crowd.
“I was really excited today to come in play in this stadium with a 100,000 people in the stadium. The atmosphere was amazing, I just think having had two years of playing in empty stadiums, this is what IPL is all about, I felt a lot of excitement, I could not control it,” he said.
