IPL 2022 is all set to commence on March 26. In the opening clash of the tournament, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders will collide with each other. 10 teams are going to be part of IPL 2022, making it a much more thrilling and competitive tournament this time.

In IPL 2020, Mumbai Indians made a record by winning their 5th IPL title after defeating Delhi Capitals in the final. 5. Ishan Kishan- 516

Ishan Kishan came up with a fabulous batting show in IPL 2020. Playing for Mumbai Indians, he slammed 516 runs in just 13 innings at an average of 57.33. The left-handed batsman was the top run-getter for his team.

He also slammed 4 half-centuries in the tournament, one of which was an incredible 99-run knock. Kishan is again part of the same team in the 2022 season.

4. Shreyas Iyer- 519

Delhi Capitals reached the final in IPL 2020 and Shreyas Iyer owned a lot of credit for the team’s success in the tournament. Emerging as top run-getter for his team, DC skipper Iyer smacked 519 runs in 17 matches.

He averaged 34.60 in the tournament and also scored 3 half-centuries. His top score was an unbeaten 88-run knock. Iyer has parted ways with Delhi Capitals now and will lead Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2022.

3. David Warner- 548

David Warner was the third-highest run-scorer in the 2020 edition. Leading Sunrisers Hyderabad, Warner scored 548 runs in 16 games at an average of 39.14. The left-handed batter slammed 4 half-centuries in the tournament, with the highest score of unbeaten 85. The Australian player will play for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022.

2. Shikhar Dhawan- 618

Shikhar Dhawan was the 2nd highest run-getter in IPL 2020. Playing for Delhi Capitals as an opener, Dhawan slammed 618 runs in 17 matches at an average of 44.14. The left-handed batsman slammed 4 half-centuries and 2 centuries in the tournament. He also had a great strike rate of 144+. Dhawan will play for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022.

1. KL Rahul- 670

KL Rahul was the star performer in IPL 2020. He won the orange cap after scoring 670 runs in 14 games at an average of 55.83. Leading Punjab Kings, KL Rahul slammed 5 fifties and 1 unbeaten century in the tournament. KL Rahul has parted way with Punjab Kings and will now play for Lucknow Super Giants in the 2022 season.
