The IPL 2022 is halfway through with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings not performing as per the expectations of fans and cricket experts. Mumbai are last on the points table while CSK is the ninth. While MI are winless so far in the season, Chennai have won just two.

The two top teams not having an ideal season has taken the fans by surprise. On the other hand, the two new teams, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants have done exceedingly well so far. Another team that has done well in the first half is Rajasthan Royals.

Cummins playing his first game of the season scored a 14-ball 56 to help Kolkatabeat Mumbai Indians by five wickets. Chasing 162 to win, KKR were 101/5 in the 14th over with the fall of Andre Russell’s wicket. The Australian Test skipper then took his countryman Daniel Sams to the cleaners taking 35 from his over and finished the match in 16 overs.

Liam Livingstone 64 Off 21 Balls Against Gujarat Titans

Livingstone’s 64 off 21 against Gujarat Titans ranks second on the list. His fireworks helped Punjab score 189/ 9 in their 20 overs. The England cricketer hit seven fours and four sixes on a batting paradise at the Brabourne stadium. Punjab’s score was chased down by the Titans with Rahul Tewatia finishing the game off with two back-to-back sixes with 13 to get from the final over.

Rahul Tripathi 71 Off 21 Balls Against Kolkata Knight Riders

A former Knight took on his old club and spanked the bowlers to all parts of the ground. He scored 50 off 21 balls and eventually went on to score 71 off 37 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders. Tripathi hit four fours and six sixes in his knock and scored at a strike rate of over 190.

Evin Lewis 55 Off 23 Balls Against Chennai Super Kings

Evin Lewis playing for Lucknow Super Giants scored an unbeaten 55 off 23 balls as Lucknow chased down 211 needed to win against CSK. He hit six fours and three sixes in his knock and scored at a strike rate of nearly 240. The southpaw was haled by Ayush Badoni at the other end who scored 19 off nine balls to take Lucknow home.

Jos Buttler 54 Off 23 Balls Against Gujarat Titans

Jos Buttler scored a quickfire 54 off 23 balls as Rajasthan Royals lost against Gujarat Titans earlier in the season. Chasing 193 to win, Rajasthan fell short by 37 runs as Buttler’s wicket turned out to be the turning point in the chase. So far in IPL 2022, Buttler has scored 491 runs with three hundreds and two fifties to his name.
