5. Glenn Maxwell- 513 Runs

Glenn Maxwell was the 5th highest run-scorer in the last season. Maxwell was part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last season. The Australian batter slammed 513 runs in 14 innings at an average of 42.75. At a strike rate of 144+, the right-handed batsman shattered 6 half-centuries in the tournament. His highest knock was 78 runs.

4. Shikhar Dhawan- 587 Runs

Shikhar Dhawan gets the 4th spot on this list. Last season, the left-handed batsman mustered 587 runs in 16 matches at an average of 39.13. Dhawan was part of the Delhi Capitals in the last season. He also slammed 3 half-centuries in the tournament. Dhawan will play for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022.

3. KL Rahul- 626 Runs

KL Rahul was the 3rd highest run-getter in IPL 2021. The right-handed batsman slammed 626 runs in just 13 matches at an outstanding average of 62.60. He was the skipper of Punjab Kings. Rahul also slammed 6 fifties in the tournament with a top knock of unbeaten 98 runs. KL Rahul is part of Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022 and is going to lead the team.

2. Faf du Plessis- 633 Runs

Faf du Plessis came up with an incredible performance last year. Playing for Chennai Super Kings, Plessis shattered 633 runs in 16 games and finished as the 2nd highest run-scorer in the tournament. The right-handed batsman slammed 6 half-centuries, the highest of which of 95 not-out. He owned an average of 45.21. Faf is the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022.

1. Ruturaj Gaikwad- 635 Runs

Ruturaj Gaikwad was the top run-getter of IPL 2021 and won the orange cap. The right-handed batsman smacked 635 runs while playing 16 matches for Chennai Super Kings. At an average of 45.35, Gaikwad also slammed 4 fifties and 1 century in the tournament. He held a batting strike rate of 136+.
