ToggleThe 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) saw Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) taking on and beating Delhi Capitals (DC).
Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul won the toss and decided to bowl first at the DY Patil Sports Academy Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Lucknow made one change to their playing XI, bringing in Krishnappa Gowtham in place of Manish Pandey.
For Delhi Capitals (DC), Rishabh Pant revealed that three changes were made David Warner came in for Tim Seifert and Anrich Nortje came in for Khaleel Ahmed, while Mandeep Singh made way for Sarfaraz Khan in the playing XI.
The pitch proved to be a difficult one for DC to bat on, despite Prithvi Shaw showing amazing caliber and skills to smash 61 runs in 34 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes as he tore apart the Lucknow Super Giants bowling attack. He fell to Krishnappa Gowtham, caught behind by Quinton de Kock with DC on 67 in 7.3 overs.
David Warner, who had watched Shaw pummel the LSG bowling, was the next to go back as he was caught by Ayush Badoni off Ravi Bishnoi’s bowling for 4 runs and he was quickly followed by Rovman Powell, who was clean bowled by Bishnoi.
Then Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan got together 75 unbeaten runs for the 4th wicket and smashed some much-needed runs in the death overs as DC finished on 149/3. Pant remained unbeaten on 39 with 3 fours and 2 sixes, while Sarfaraz made 36* with 3 fours to his name.
Chasing 150 runs to win, KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock gave a brisk opening partnership of 73 in 9.4 overs to Lucknow Super Giants. Rahul fell for 24 runs to Kuldeep Yadav, caught by Prithvi Shaw. Quinton de Kock took over the scoring responsibility and made 80 in 52 balls with 9 fours and 2 sixes to his name.
While Deepak Hooda and Evin Lewis fell cheaply, Krunal Pandya with 19* and Ayush Badoni with 10* finished the game in the last over as LSG won the match by 6 wickets, scoring 155/4.
IPL 2022: Updated Points Table, Orange Cap And Purple Cap After Match 15 LSG vs DC
LSG moved to the second spot in the points table with this win with 3 victories in 4 matches and 6 points to their name. The table is still led by KKR who also have 3 wins in four matches, but a better net run rate of 1.102 when compared LSG who have 0.256.

Quinton de Kock moved to the second spot in the most runs list above Ishan Kishan with a same number of runs in 149. KL Rahul is at the 4th spot with 132 runs in 4 matches, while his LSG teammate Deepak Hooda is at the 5th spot with 150 runs.

The purple cap list sees Avesh Khan remaining at the third spot with 7 wickets to his name. Kuldeep Yadav of DC is at 5th spot with 6 wickets, as the most wickets list is led by Umesh Yadav who has 9 scalps in 4 matches.
