Jasprit Bumrah-Jofra Archer

Jofra Archer was roped in by Mumbai Indians at the IPL 2022 mega auction as they spent 8 crores to acquire him. The franchise went after him despite knowing about his recent injury concerns and the fact that there is no replacement available for him in case he gets injured again or leaves the season midway.

Mumbai Indians co-owner also said that Jofra Archer will be available from IPL 2023 with the franchise and that is when all the cricket fans can see the two reputed bowlers bowling together. Archer is very much a replacement for Trent Boult whom Mumbai could not add to their team. The left-arm, pacer was picked by Rajasthan Royals
