MI vs DC: Watch - Jasprit Bumrah Cleans Up Rovman Powell With A Brilliant Yorker

It is the most important game for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022. If they have to qualify for the playoffs for the 4th consecutive year, they need to win this match at any cost.

A loss would end their campaign in the tournament.

Delhi Capitals Were Rocked Early In Their Innings

DC batting first at the Wankhede Stadium was rocked early by Mumbai Indians as Daniel Sams got David Warner early. Then Jasprit Bumrah came and got two back to back wickets of Prithivi Shaw and Mitchell Marsh. They were 31-3 inside the powerplay.

Soon Sarfaraj Khan too was dismissed but then Rishabh Pant and Rovman Powell stitched together an important partnership in the middle. They added 75 runs before Pant was dismissed by Ramandeep Singh. Powell soon followed Pant in the dugout as he looked to accelerate in the slog overs.

Powell could not put his bat to a pinpoint yorker as the ball slid underneath his bat. The off-stump was knocked back. Going across the line was a bad decision, and Powell had little chance.

Earlier in the day, MI brought in Dewald Brevis and Hrithik Shokeen to their side while Prithvi Shaw returned in place of Lalit Yadav for DC.

At one point it seemed as if DC would manage just 110-120 but because of Powell’s innings of 43 runs, they were able to cross the 150 run mark. Bumrah was the best bowler for MI as he picked up three wickets.
