MI vs KKR: Very Pleased With The Win - Shreyas Iyer After 52-run Victory vs MI

It was a contest between the bottom two sides on the points table. But it was Shreyas Iyer‘s side who won the game comfortably in the end.
Kolkata Knight Riders won the game for the second time this season against Mumbai Indians.

I’m Not Satisfied Want To Maintain This: Shreyas Iyer
KKR while batting first posted 165 runs on the board. They had made 5 changes to their side. Venkatesh Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane were back at the top. They posted 60 runs opening stand in just 5.4 overs.
Iyer was particularly impressive as he scored 43 runs off 24 balls. Rahane on the other hand could not convert his start.
Nitish Rana too scored 43 valuable runs. But at the end overs in the first innings, it was all about Jasprit Bumrah as he picked up 5 wickets for just 10 runs.
At one point it seemed as if KKR will score anywhere close to 180-190 but Bumrah’s last two overs where he gave just 1 run and picked up 3 wickets pulled things back for MI.
Mumbai’s batting though didn’t click at all. As apart from Ishan Kishan no other batter contributed anything. Pat Cummins had won the game with the bat for his team in one over earlier in the season against MI. On Monday he took 3 wickets in one over and sealed the game for KKR.

Shreyas Iyer after the game said, “Very pleased because after losing the last game by a big margin, feels good to come back and win by a big margin is nice. We had a nice start in the powerplay and Venky targeted bowlers well. I personally felt that it wasn’t easy to start for a new batter. When we went in to bowl, the plan was to hit the right areas and not give room. The win was comprehensive, and when I spoke to the players, they were pumped up to win the game today. I’m not satisfied but want to maintain this.”
KKR are alive in the completion but just by a very thin margin.
