MI vs SRH: Watch - Mayank Markande Takes A Terrific Catch To Dismiss Nicholas Pooran

It’s an important game for Sunrisers Hyderabad. They lost their first couple of games in IPL 2022 but then bounced back to win 5 on the trot.

At the halfway stage of the tournament, they were one of the favourites to qualify for the playoffs. But they lost 4 on the trot and are now facing an early elimination should they lose to Mumbai Indians on Tuesday.

Sunrisers Hyderabad On Their Way To A Big Score

After having been put to bat first, Abhishek Sharma got out early, but then Rahul Tripathi and Priyam Garg added 78 runs in no time. But then a fine caught and bowled ended Garg’s innings.

Nicholas Pooran then came all guns blazing as he targeted the short side of the boundary. He scored 39 off 22 balls and was involved in 50+ partnerships with Tripathi.

But in the 17th over he tried to flick Riley Meredith on the leg side but couldn’t connect. Mayank Markande fielding at deep backward square leg lunged forward, got his hands underneath the ball and took a tremendous catch.

Earlier, Kane Williamson demoted himself as Priyam Garg walked out to bat with Abhishek Sharma. Garg is playing his first game and did well at the top. Before getting out to a brilliant catch he scored 42 off 26 balls.

MI gave opportunities to Mayank Markande and Sanjay Yadav in this game while Ramandeep Singh got the opportunity to bowl in the match. Ramandeep also got two wickets and showed his potential with the ball.
