Mumbai Indians take on SunRisers Hyderabad in match 65 of IPL 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday, May 17. They are already out of the tournament with couple more games to go. Mumbai would like to play spoilsport in SRH’s campaign by beating them in this game and knocking them out of the season too. This is the first time both these teams are facing off in the IPL this season.
Mumbai Indians lost their previous match against CSK by five wickets. Overall, they have lost nine games this season and are staring down the barrel. Nothing has gone right as a side for MI this season. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan’s struggle with form has been the highlight of Mumbai’s campaign. Kieron Pollard not scoring runs has added to Mumbai’s misery as well. Heading into the final two games, the side might experiment with a few players as they look to build-up for the next season.

Rohit Sharma
Rohit scored 18 off 14 balls against CSK in the previous game. He is yet to score a fifty this season which speaks volumes about his form this season. The MI skipper would like to play two good knocks in the last two games.

Ishan Kishan
The southpaw will open the batting along with Rohit Sharma. So far Kishan has scored 327 runs from 12 games with three fifties to his name. He would like to make a couple more of them.
Dewald Brevis
Brevis has been impressive in the few games that he has played for Mumbai Indians. He might come back to the XI in the last few games for the side in place of Tristan Stubbs.
Tilak Varma
The southpaw is the highest run-getter in IPL 2022 for Mumbai Indians with 368 runs in 12 games. He would like to cross 400 runs in the game.
Tim David
Tim David has made full use of the opportunities that he has been given in the last few games. He has done justice to his big-hitting prowess and also might keep Kieron Pollard out of the playing XI. He will bat at number five.
Hrithik Shokeen
Shokeen scored 18 with the bat and bowled 2 overs for 12 runs against CSK. Given that he is an off-spinner he should retain his place in the side for this game.
Murugan Ashwin
Ashwin can come in place of Ramandeep Singh who has not scored too many runs with the bat in the few matches that he has played. Ashwin is a leg-spinner and can be a handly option against the big-hitters, especially the left-handers.
Kumar Kartikeya
The impressive Kartikeya took two for 22 in the last game against Chennai Super Kings. He has been one of the finds of this IPL and his story has been an inspirational one for many youngsters.
Jasprit Bumrah / Basil Thampi / Jaydev Unadkat
With Mumbai Indians already out of the season, Bumrah can be given a break in the last two games. Mumbai can play Thampi of Undkat in his place. With India playing continuous cricket even after the IPL, they will need Bumrah at the peak of his fitness and the break can help him.
Riley Meredith
Australian pacer Rolery Meredith will conclude Mumbai Indians’ likely playing XI against SRH. Both Sams and Meredith have been bowling well for Mumbai in tandem and playing together as well.
