With 205 runs from three games, Jos Buttler is topping the run-scoring charts. He has already hit a century in this IPL and the only batsman to do this so far in this season. He has displayed tremendous hitting form which has taken the cricket fraternity by surprise. He will continue to open the batting.

The management can think of giving Karun Nair an opportunity instead of the underperforming Yashasvi Jaiswal. The southpaw has registered low scores in all the first three games and thus Nair can be an ideal replacement for him at the top of the order. He can slot in at number three allowing Devdutt Padikkal to open the batting alongside Buttler as well.

Padikkal has impressed one and all with his outing so far in this IPL. He was picked by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2022 and has been a good buy so far. He can open the batting in case Karun Nair gets an opportunity and slots in at number three.

The Royals skipper has already notched up a half-century in this edition of the IPL so far. He has looked in pretty good form with the bat. However, in the last game, he scored just 8 which was a rare failure for him this season. He will slot in at number four in the batting-order for Rajasthan Royals.

Hetmyer has been acing the finisher’s role for the Royals to perfection so far. He scored an unbeaten 42 off 32 balls in the previous game and was involved in an 83-run stand with Buttler. Hetmyer has adjusted with his new franchise beautifully and has been delivering.

Riyan Parag has been able to retain his place despite his constant failures for the Royals. He was picked up by the Royals for 3 crores. However, he has not repaid their faith in this season so far.

Ashwin will be one of the two spinners in the lineup along with Yuzvendra Chahal. The veteran has not found his wicket-taking range but has been bowling economically with Chahal taking wickets at the other end.

Navdeep Saini will be one of the three pacers the Royals would like to go with. The Indian pacer has bowld with pace and has troubled a few batsman in this tournament so far. Alongside Prasidh Krishna and Trent Boult, he forms a commendable trio.
