MS Dhoni is back as the Chennai Super Kings captain for the remainder of the season. Heading into the game against RCB, they should stick to the same playing Xi unless there is a last-minute injury or any other tactical changes required. In this article, we predict Chennai Super Kings’ playing XI for their next match against RCB.

His opening partner will be the Kiwi opener Devon Conway who scored an unbeaten 85 in his return game for CSK. Together they added 182 and the management would back them to add another good stand against RCB.

Uthappa will have to bat at number three given Conway will be elevated at the top of the order. He has scored 228 runs from nine matches. He scored 88 against RCB the last time both these teams played.

Ambati Rayudu

Rayudu has been the glue for CSK at number four. He scored a brilliant 78 against Punjab Kings but he failed to take his side home. Rayudu will need to play the sheet anchor’s role in the middle-overs for Chennai Super Kings.

Shivam Dube

Duber has misfired in the last few games since scoring the brilliant 95 against RCB. Against RCB, they would like to go in with an extra batting option. This is where Dube can replace Simarjeet Singh who made his debut for CSK in the last game.

Dhoni should bat at number six in the batting order. So far he has scored one fifty in the season and played a few matchwinning cameos. His batting will depend on more or less the match situation.

Ravindra Jadeja

Having been relieved of captaincy, Jadeja should be able to play his natural game for Chennai Super Kings. He has been an invaluable player for CSK over the years and the side needs him back in form with both bat and ball.

Mitchell Santner /Dwayne Bravo

Bravo should ideally replace the left-arm spinner against RCB given the side has many right-handers in their line-up. Bravo has a better record against most of them and Chennai would bank on his advantage to get them dismissed.

Dwaine Pretorius

Pretorious has played his part in the way that he has been asked to do that. He will continue to be a part of the CSK playing XI. both he and Bravo have been effective in the middle-overs and has contributed with wickets. Pretorious has taken his chance with the bat as well.

Mukesh Choudhary

Choudhary bowled a wicketless spell for 36 runs. He has missed a few catches and has been expensive in a few games. However, he has been given the long rope by the franchise and will retain his place in the XI in the next game against RCB.
