RCB vs CSK: I Am Surprised – Faf du Plessis On MS Dhoni Returning As Captain Midway During The IPL 2022

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis has expressed surprise at legendary Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, MS Dhoni, returning as skipper mid-way during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore will lock horns with MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune on Wednesday, May 4.

Meanwhile, Du Plessis also said that he was surprised when Dhoni decided to hand over the CSK captaincy to all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja just a few days before the commencement of Indian Premier League 2022.
“I am surprised that it’s happened mid-season. I am also surprised that it happened the way that it did in the start of the season. So the two surprises almost cancelling each other out,” Faf du Plessis told RCB.

The veteran Proteas batsman further added that when Dhoni is leading the side he brings the best out of the players and that has played a big role in CSK’s success.
“So obviously, there is no secret there. I think when MS is there when he is captain, he does get the best out of the players. That’s been a big part of CSK’s success. That’s a big challenge for us, we have to make sure that’s not a factor tomorrow (Wednesday),” he added.
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore Director of Cricket Mike Hesson has said that they have got confidence from their last game and they will try to put pressure on the Chennai Super Kings.
“We got some confidence out of the last game from things that we did a lot better. We just look for that little extra point of difference. Our middle-over bowling has been one of the best in the competition. We know their strengths. We are going to try and apply pressure in different ways,” Hesson said.
