RCB vs GT: Sachin Tendulkar Says Virat Kohli's Six Off Rashid Khan's Delivery To Reach His 2nd IPL 2022 Was “Brilliant”

Legendary India National Cricket Team batsman Sachin Tendulkar said that the six that Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli smashed off Gujarat Titans (GT) leg-spinner Rashid Khan’s delivery to reach his second IPL 2022 fifty was “brilliant”.

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Kohli played a vintage Virat Kohli knock in the match against Gujarat Titans on Thursday to help RCB secure an 8-wicket win over GT. Kohli scored 73 runs off 54 balls, including 8 fours and 2 sixes.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Tendulkar lauded RCB batters and primarily Kohli for their performance against Gujarat Titans (GT).

“I liked the positive attitude shown by the Bangalore batters. Virat took the initiative and he started attacking. In this match, I really liked one thing in particular, and that was the precision in his footwork and like they say, showing the face of the bat. It was visible and I really liked that. Both batters are fit and their running between the wicket is brilliant,” Tendulkar said on his YouTube video.

While talking about Kohli’s six to Rashid to reach his fifty, batting legend Tendulkar said that the former RCB skipper noticed the bowler’s length and played a lovely shot at the last moment.

Tendulkar also lauded Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis for playing a brilliant supporting role in the match against Gujarat Titans.

“The shot Virat played against Rashid, to reach his fifty, was just brilliant. I thought he noticed that it’s a leg spinner, and the length of the ball was close to his feet, and at the last moment, he used his wrist to give it elevation. I loved it because it wasn’t a wild slog at all. He read the bowler well and being aware of the length, he played that shot at the last moment.”

“Overall, Virat batted brilliantly I felt and Faf played a superb supporting role. That was smart cricket,” said Tendulkar.
