RR vs CSK: Parthiv Patel Suggests 'One Simple Change' For Rajasthan Royals Against Chennai Super Kings

Rajasthan Royals take on Chennai Super Kings in their last league game of the season at the Brabourne Stadium on May 20. They have a chance to get to the second position on the points table if they win the game by a big margin and improve on their NRR. Thus this game is of immense importance and value for the Royals.
They have played with a settled lineup throughout the season. They backed all their overseas players to perform and they did as well. Parthiv Patel while previewing the game on Cricbuzz has suggested one change in the Royals lineup heading into this contest. He said Shimron Hetmyer should replace Jimmy Neesham as he has rejoined the Royals squad after the birth of his first child.

“I think only one simple change is needed if Hetmyer is available. He should come in for Jimmy Neesham, they don’t need to consider any other change than that, everything is going well for them.”
Hetmyer has been a vital cog for the Royals in the middle-order. He has scored 291 runs from 11 games with a best of 59 *. The southpaw has also hit 21 sixes in the season so far. Pragyan Ojha, who was a part of that discussion also supported the change suggested by Parthiv Patel.

“Hetmyer should definitely come in place of Neesham if he is available. Kuldeep Sen can also be brought in because he is bowling well. He is a good young fast bowler,” said Ojha.
The former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman also said Sanju Samson needs to convert his starts in the last few games for better results for his side. This is also an area of the game Samson can get better at his game, he further suggested. Samson has scored 359 runs at an average of 29.92 with a couple of fifties.
“If they can resolve Sanju Samson’s inability to convert his starts and end their overreliance on Jos Buttler before the playoffs, then it would be really good for them,” added Patel.
