Rajasthan Royals head coach Kumar Sangakkara in a fun session with Lasith Malinga answered a few interesting questions from his illustrious cricketing career. The Royals roped in Malinga as the bowling coach of the side ahead of the start of IPL 2022 that reunited the famous Sri Lankan pair.
Rajasthan Royals play Chennai Super Kings in their final league game in a bid to make it to the playoffs. They are currently third on the table with 16 points and a win against CSK can take them through to the playoffs. They will also get to the second position on the points table courtesy of a better NRR than LSG.
Meanwhile, Sangakkara and Malinga shared a few interesting stories in a nice interacting session between the two of them. The southpaw answered one of the questions where he picked Rahul Dravid as the cricketer to bat for his life. He further said that he would be unbelievable in that role.

“Rahul Dravid, he’s unbelievable in that role. The Wall’, there is a reason for that name”, Sangakkara responded to Malinga’s question.
Dravid is the fourth-highest run-getter for India in ODIs with 10,768 runs from 340 ODIs at an average of 39.15. In Test cricket, he is just behind Sachin Tendulkar with 13,625 runs at an average of 52.63 in 163 games. Tendulkar has 15,921 runs to his name from 200 matches.
Talking about Rajasthan Royals before their clash against CSK, they have the bowling and the batting to get them over the line in this game. Jos Buttler is leading the Orange Cap race with 627 runs. Skipper Sanju Samson has scored 359 runs with two fifties to his name this season. He has also hit 21 sixes in the season so far.
Talking about their bowling attack, they have a nice balance of seam and spin. Yuzvendra Chahal is second on the Purple Cap race with 24 wickets. While Ashwin has got 10 wickets under his belt, Krishna and Boult have 15 and 12 scalps respectively.
