Rajasthan Royals (RR) leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal continued to torment his former franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), as he took his second wicket of the night by castling David Willey.

Chahal started the downfall of the run chase of RCB by dismissing the captain, Faf du Plessis, on the last ball of his first over. He wasn’t done as he went on to effect the run-out of Virat Kohli soon after.

On the very next ball, Chahal tossed one up to Willey who went for a drive, only to see the ball zip past the inside edge of his bat and crash into the stumps. It was a typical leg-spinner’s wicket and Chahal was delighted.

Earlier, RR banked on its opener, Jos Buttler, and Shimron Hetmyer to provide the finishing touches after a tough middle-overs phase. The last two overs saw 42 runs being stolen off and it turned the momentum in the Rajasthan franchise’s favor.

Buttler ended on 70 off 47 balls with no fours but six sixes while Hetmyer helped himself to a 31-ball 42 studded with four fours and two maximums. At the fall of Willey’s wicket, RCB was 62/4 in the 9th over.
