Sam Curran Reveals Why He Didn't Register His Name For IPL 2022 Auction

Star England fast bowling all-rounder Sam Curran has himself revealed the real reason behind not participating in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction, which is scheduled to be held on February 12 & 13 in Bengaluru.
England all-rounder Sam Curran, who was part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 winning side, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), was released by the team ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction and the team decided to retain all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, captain MS Dhoni, batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad, and England all-rounder Moeen Ali.

It Was Agreed That Sadly I Should Not Enter The IPL Auction – Sam Curran
Curran took to Twitter to reveal the exact reason behind opting out of the mega auction. He stated that it was agreed that he would not enter the IPL 2022 auction and will focus on his rehabilitation. He wrote:
“It was agreed that sadly I should not enter the IPL auction this year and to focus on my rehabilitation. I’m back in the nets and feeling great so hope to be back soon, Wishing everyone all the best for the tournament. I look forward to starting the season with @surreycricket.”

Other than Sam Curran, major names like Mitchell Starc, Chris Gayle, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer and Joe Root will also not enter the IPL 2022 mega auction.
Also, the two new franchises of the Indian Premier League (IPL) – Ahmedabad and Lucknow – have officially revealed their draft picks ahead of the upcoming mega auction.
Ahmedabad included Hardik Pandya (Rs 15 crore), Rashid Khan (Rs 15 crore), and Shubman Gill (Rs 8 crore) in their team.
Meanwhile, Lucknow picked KL Rahul (Rs 17 crore), Marcus Stoinis (Rs 9.2 crore), and Ravi Bishnoi (Rs 4 crore) in their team.
