Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube was bought by Chennai Super Kings for INR 4 crores on Day 2 of the IPL 2022 mega auction.
Dube was touted to be the next Yuvraj Singh but he failed to live up to expectations. Although he has shown glimpses of his potential here and there, he has failed to perform consistently.
Dube made waves in the IPL while being part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side where he mostly played as a finisher and the sixth bowler.

He was given a lot more responsibility last year when he played for Rajasthan Royals. Dube was promoted to No.4 but apart from a couple of good knocks, he has failed to live up to the expectations.
The bidding was started at INR 50 lakh, his base price, and shot up to INR 2 crores. The fight was between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) initially, before CSK jumped in.

LSG backed out but the other two franchises kept going. The price went to INR 4 crores before PBKS finally backed out, leaving Dube for MS Dhoni-led CSK.
