Meanwhile, speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, Mukesh told host broadcaster Star Sports that after CSK’s poor start with the ball in the first 5 overs he decided to take chances and got rewards for it.

“After wickets hadn’t fallen in the first four-five overs, so I had to take chances. I took chances and wickets followed. After the first catch was dropped I thought to myself that I’ve to take a wicket somehow,” the left-arm speedster said.

The left-arm pacer Mukesh Choudhary said that there is a responsibility on him to get wickets for Chennai Super Kings in the powerplay overs.

Yes, there is a little bit of responsibility with the new ball. I am expected to take wickets in the powerplay, and if I do that, it gets easier for the spinners in the middle overs of the game,” he said.

The left-arm pacer added that Dwayne Bravo, who was not part of CSK playing XI against SRH due to some fitness issues, had told him that he had to take responsibility in the match against Kane Williamson-led side.

“ If Bravo is there, he keeps guiding us through the overs because he has so much experience with him. He told me yesterday that I had to take responsibility because he wouldn’t be playing the next game,” Mukesh asserted.
