Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, and Rajasthan Royals were involved in a heated battle for the all-rounder’s services. As the price increased, MI swooped in.

They had a large purse compared to the rest and were able to outbid the rest of the franchises, eventually putting up the winning bid of INR 8.25 crores.
